I feel so fortunate that my ancestors and guides led me to these two beautiful decks. The texture of the cards is warm and soft. They do not stick to one another when you shuffle; they move effortlessly in the hand. The contrast of gold line/imagery against the matte black allows a lot of space for meditation and communication. These are not busy and chatty decks. The oracle is straight, no chaser and yet, calm, grounding, and opening. Very clear. The tarot deck is unique in that it gives you a lot of open space to see. These decks are powerful tool and voice.
These are the most detailed tarot decks I've worked with that not only have an African aesthetic, but it's rooted in Afrocentric philosophy as it relates to spiritual development. Truly grateful I had everything I needed to support this brand. Give praise to the ancestors for this art that will live beyond these moments!
I love both the Okana and Akamara deck. I felt so connected to the art and messaging. The power of these decks are strong and healing, especially as a black woman. The language was spot on and this has definitely helped me with my shadow work and connecting to my ancestors.
I felt immediately connected to my cards! The art work is so beautiful....I see these cards were crafted with love and care! Asé
I truly wanted a tarot deck that specifically spoke to me as a black woman and had the element of it being a shadow-like. From 1st I initial feel and touch we (me + deck) connected like no other. It was comfort in knowing I saw myself in some tarots when reading myself. I didn’t know I needed it until I got them.
